Day 1 - New Era

Photo Credit: Johnny Crawford - AJC

After a single day of practice it's hard to find much to say but here is a rundown of some good articles.

One of the things that most people noticed quickly was the new shade of gold that graces the helmets. I'll try and find out more.

I promise I'll have better content soon, I just have to work through some of this writers block I've developed. I'm a little rusty.

I'm Back - Fall Practice Begins

The hiatus ends.

I figured if the players can hit the field for their first practice of the fall today at 3pm then it was about time for me to come out of hiding and start typing again. I do want to thank everyone for being patient while I took a little break. I remember when I started this little blog, Jeff over at the old Ramblin' Racket made the point that it can turn into a non-paying part-time job....he was right. It's easy to let this blog become a time suck rivaled only by reality television. So the break was nice and I'm sure Tiffany enjoyed being able to see her husband for a change, well, I hope she did.
I haven't quite decided in which direction I want to take things this year, it may just be stream of consciousness, just like my writing. What I do know is I will continue to attempt bringing you news and commentary on all things Tech Football as well as movie reviews, politics and all the other strange things that inhabit my head and must find their way to the light of day. My updates may be slightly less often as I juggle blogging with the daily demands of work, family, school and writing the great American novel. But I promise to do my best.

So here we go, as a nice pinky toe in the cold water you might want to check out Matt Winklejohn's article in todays AJC. Also anyone that can make it to practice feel free to send me your reports, I'll post the updates.

Thanks again everyone!
Go Jackets!

Players reported Tuesday, gotta say I love the shirt!

Thank You - D's Employed!

I wanted to take a moment and send a little thank you out to all those who helped me with my recent job search. It paid off well as many of you sent me leads and contacts or passed my resume and portfolio along to friends and family. I was able to land a position as an Art Director with a company less than two miles from where Tiffany and I live. I gotta tell you, not having to get on 285 is a nice perk. I'm only on my second week but it's going well and I still continue to freelance on the side.

Mad props for all the help you guys provided.
