The Davis Family & Friends GameDay Experience

Hold on, you say, didn’t football season just end? We’re not even to the All-Star break yet and these yahoos are talking about football! Well, you have to understand that some of us are a little cuckoo for CocoPuffs. Those of us who wish football season was year- round, those who start planning for next season the day the current season ends, those who watch Berlin vs. Frankfurt on “The Ocho” because we need a football fix. So it’s not too early, it’s simply that time again: time to begin planning for the 3rd Annual Davis Family and Friends GameDay Experience.

As time has passed we have tried to make adjustments to The Experience so it might be the best event you could hope for. This year will be no different. This season we have made several changes which we’ll be sharing in the coming weeks, but currently we’d like the discuss the maiden voyage of the new Davis GameDay Experience Blog, entitled “Mash On The Gas.”

Some of you may not be familiar with Blogging, so just think of it like this: imagine a space on the internet which is a hybrid of a traditional website and an interactive diary. Each Blog entry will have important information regarding the ongoing planning of the event, as well as completely useless info we may feel the need to bore you with. These WebLogs (Blogs) have the option for you to post comments for all to read, or e-mail them directly to a friend. Aside from the blogging section, you will notice several other areas of interest. The menu on the top left gives you links to deeper cuts from our album: an interactive tailgate menu, game day info, RSVP and ticket purchasing instructions, even photos and videos. There are also links to other Ga Tech resources, as well as the MOTG iPod, which will play the Ramblin’ Wreck’s Greatest Hits. Well, until you get sick of it and hit the mute button.

Most importantly, take note of the “Receive Updates” sign-up form on the top right. Please enter your name and e-mail address so you can get updates on the latest changes to the site and the most current blog entries. In order for us to plan the event successfully the sharing of information is paramount, as this site will be your one-stop shop for the GameDay Experience. Don’t worry, your name won’t go on a list where you begin receiving phone calls asking if you wish to switch your long distance service. Your information will be safe and secure; it’s just a way for us to keep you in the loop.

So without further adieu, we present to you: “Mash On The Gas.” Take a look around and let us know what you think. And we look forward to seeing you this September on The Flats. Until then, GO JACKETS and THWG!
