Tech Releases Its 2011 Schedule

Just to make sure that I don't step on anyone's toes, I got this from the Atlanta Journal Constitution and if you want to check out their column, go here. READ IT!

Sept. 1: WESTERN CAROLINA
Sept. 10: Middle Tennessee State
Sept. 17: KANSAS
Sept. 24: NORTH CAROLINA
Oct. 1: NC State
Oct. 8: MARYLAND
Oct. 15: Virginia
Oct. 22: Miami
Oct. 29: CLEMSON
Nov. 5: OPEN
Nov. 10: VIRGINIA TECH (Thursday), ESPN, 8 pm
Nov. 19: Duke
Nov. 26: GEORGIA

Daron pointed out to me (well, cuz he is the smart one here) that the increase in pricing for season tickets might have gone up due to the additional home game. Tech had only 6 home games last season (none of them world beaters) so the better home schedule could account for the increase.

There are some really good games this season and I am looking forward to Clemson, VT and (of course) Georgia. Do I have any idea or predictions of how good the Tech season will be? None. I am going to hold off doing my predictions things until I hear how the new recruits and current players are doing in practice and the spring scrimmages.

So, what do you guys think of the schedule?

This is how I feel: If either Days or Lee can come out and be the option QB we need, the defense come together with some of the guys Groh got, and specials teams actually perform like they should, then a successful season shouldn't be too far fetched. But we gotta stop turning the ball over. Looked like middle schoolers at sometimes. We need to man up on defense! And let's see some more passes! Go Jackets!
