Georgia Tech has been receiving what seems like little national press for being the #7 team in the country this late in the season. Perhaps this is due to being the highest ranked team with a loss, thus not in the "what-if" discussions reserved for the undefeated teams.
Tech is definitely a long shot (if even a shot) to make the national championship game. Nonetheless, coverage of our games has been been slim since joining the Top 10. This is definitely due in part to our weak schedule as of late. All of our big games were earlier in the season.
All that said, this week, the coverage has seemed to pick up a little bit. A win at Duke Saturday means a date in the ACC Championship game, and more major outlets are starting to take note.
Sports Illustrated was on campus taking pictures of Nesbitt, Dwyer, Bebe, and Allen recently for an article on our offense. The print version is yet to come out, but here's the article. It's a good read.
ESPN the Magazine recently included a short interview with Josh Nesbitt about running our offense (issue also included short writeup on bball player Derrick Favors - more on that later).
Derrick Morgan is turning scouts' heads with his performance: Read it
Dr. Saturday looked at if Tech can make it to the national championship game (and concludes that they can, but won't - sounds about right): Read it
Paul Johnson got a lot of attention for going for it on 4th down in overtime vs. Wake Forest: ESPN, SBNation (see "R")
